Learning Support Co-Ordinator

In Riverside our Learning Support Co-Ordinator is Mrs Rachel McCombe. This role involves coordinating the provision that our pupils access in relation to their individual Special Educational Needs.

Annual Review

Rachel oversees the Annual Review process each year, where she meets with parents and teachers to review pupil’s statements and provision at Riverside.

Referrals

Rachel completes referrals where necessary for services that can support a pupil at home or in school, including referrals to Educational Psychology.

Learning Support Hub and Holistic Support

In 2024 we are launching our Learning Support and Holistic Support Hubs! Through referrals from class teachers, pupils will be able to access short sessions of 1-1 support focusing on an area of the core subjects or an area of holistic support. Our first sessions will be on Spiral Reading Scheme, Numicon, Reflexology and The Curiosity Approach and will be tailored to each individual child.
