Message from the Chair of Friends Of Riverside School

Dear Parents/guardians,
Friends of Riverside are continuing to meet virtually and talk about ways of fund raising for Riverside School and giving back to our children.
This Christmas we wanted to make sure every child at Riverside has a present to open on Christmas Day. We have been out shopping and have purchased a small gift for every child. We want you to know that these gifts have sat for more than 72 hours and will be distributed to classes in a safe way (hopefully this Thursday) in line with government regulations and school policy.
We have been talking to Santa and he has a special message for everyone which will be shown on the school Facebook page on Wednesday. We hope everyone is keeping well and we wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas.

Friends of Riverside PTA came into school on 3rd December 2020 and safely delivered a bag of presents to each class. Each child received an individually wrapped present.

Riverside has recently gained charity status and has established a Parent /teacher association known as Friends of Riverside.
The main purpose of this group will be to enhance pupils’ education experiences.
We aim to do this by:
- A) fostering good relations and communications within the school community and local area
- B) to fundraise and coordinate a programme of events and activities throughout the school year
Members of staff and parents were nominated and voted in at our recent AGM on 22nd January 2020
